Qualified Range Safety Officers
Williams is locally known for its outdoor and indoor public firearm ranges and is currently the only public indoor range in Genesee County. To maintain a safe, clean, and customer-friendly environment, Williams employs qualified Range Safety Officers (RSOs) to oversee all range operations. RSOs are present on all ranges to ensure safety rules are clearly understood and followed, helping create an enjoyable experience for shooters of all skill levels. Guests are encouraged to ask one of our friendly Range Safety Officers if they have any questions while using the range.

Williams now offers lane reservations exclusively for our range members!
This exciting new perk is available to all Standard and Premium Members, giving you the option to reserve a lane in advance—something many of our members have been asking for, especially during our busiest times. With this new benefit, members can reserve lanes 7 days a week for added convenience and flexibility.
Outdoor Rifle and Pistol Ranges
- 100 yard and 50 yard rifle range with shooting benches
- Pistol range with stationary targets – distances are adjustable from 3 yards to 20 yards
- Steel Target Pistol range with 12 different steel target scenarios
- Shotgun patterning station for shooters using birdshot or buckshot (Not skeet or trap)

SPRING, SUMMER, and FALL HOURS (APRIL - DECEMBER):
MONDAY - SUNDAY: 10 AM TO 5:45 PM
WINTER HOURS (JANUARY - MARCH):
MONDAY -THURSDAY: **CLOSED**
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: 10 AM - 5:45 PM (WEATHER PERMITTING)
WEATHER CLOSURES
If we experience extreme cold less than 20 degrees or extreme heat more than 90 degrees then we will close the outdoor range for the safety of our employees and customers. In addition we will close during heavy rains, snow or flooding. It is very typical during April/May we will shut down several days due to flooding. If the weather is questionable then please call to verify the outdoor ranges are open.
Outdoor Range Pricing:
Standard outdoor range fee: $15 per day
Daily fee includes: Access to outdoor 100 and 50 yard rifle ranges, 25 handgun and steel handgun ranges.
*Everyone on outdoor range must check in with cashier. No children under 8 years allowed on range. All outdoor ranges close by Dusk regardless of stated hours
Indoor Handgun and Rifle Range
Total of twelve handgun- and rifle-rated shooting lanes
Configuration includes one eight-lane bay and one four-lane bay
25-yard lane length suitable for training and recreational shooting
Fully heated facility for safe and comfortable winter operation

SUMMER HOURS (JUNE - AUGUST):
MONDAY - THURSDAY: 10 AM TO 2 PM
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: 10 AM TO 5:45 PM
Attention: The Indoor Range will be CLOSED at
2 PM on the first Monday of every month.
EXTREME HEAT WARNING
Our indoor range is NOT air conditioned during the summer months. The outside temperature will also be the temperature inside the indoor range and it could even be higher at times. For the safety of our range employees and customers Williams will close the indoor range when the inside range temperature exceeds 90 degrees.
Gun Rental Program
*Williams Gun Rentals are only available for use on our Indoor Range.
Williams offers a wide variety of firearms through its gun rental program, allowing customers to try before they buy across many different firearm models. This program is also ideal for new shooters who want to learn the fundamentals, as our staff can help select the perfect rental firearm for a comfortable and safe learning experience. Rules & Restrictions for gun rentals:
- Must purchase & use Williams ammunition for gun rental.
- Must complete gun rental waiver before using firearm
- Must be able to legally own a firearm
- Must be at least 21 years of age if not accompanied by a guardian.
- Gun rentals are only available for use on our indoor range.
- Gun rentals are NOT available to customers who are shooting alone, unless they can provide a valid CPL or if they are in possession of firearms while visiting Williams. This is a suicide prevention measure and Williams reserves the right to deny rental gun possession to any customer at their discretion.
Indoor Range Rules & Procedures
All indoor range users must follow our range rules. Williams will have range officers on duty to answer any questions. If a customer does not follow the range rules then they may be asked to leave. Please read rules below.
- Hearing and eye protection must be worn before entering the air lock
- Check in with range officer upon entering the range and follow all commands.
- When entering or leaving air lock room, only one door can be open at a time.
- No rapid firing.
- No steel, armor-piercing, or tracer bullets.
- No steel or aluminum casings allowed on indoor range.
- Maximum of 2 shooters per lane.
- Always treat all firearms as if they are loaded.
- Always un-case & case firearms on the shooting line. NO WHERE ELSE!
- Always point firearm down range.
- Always keep finger off triger until ready to shoot.
- All firearms must be unloaded and cased before leaving the range.
- Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 8, are not allowed on the indoor range unless approved by management.
- No horse playing. You will be ejected immediately.
- Williams reserves the right to refuse admittance to the range to anyone at anytime.
